The Qualtrics alternative

sandsiv+ teamSep 20264 min read

Reclaim your CX autonomy.

Qualtrics builds good survey research tools. Running live CX on top of one is a different job, and that is where the waiting and the bills start.

What staying costs you

The consultancy trap

A senior employee engagement specialist wrote on Capterra in August 2025 that Qualtrics “doesn’t provide full service customer support but instead refers to a third party consulting firm to assist.” On Qualtrics’ own forum there is a thread titled “Does Qualtrics have the worst product support in the tech industry?” The customer who opened it had spoken to six specialists in three weeks. Two other customers solved his problem in the end. Not Qualtrics.

The legacy tax

Duke University published its own numbers: licensing up 50 percent in a single year, an opening ask from Qualtrics of six times the previous price, and a renewal landing around 70 percent above the year before. Duke now tells its own researchers to consider other software for simple surveys. That is a sophisticated buyer rationing a platform it has just re-signed.

Black box AI

Text iQ topics are boolean queries you write and maintain by hand. One customer described spending most of his time telling the software which words to clump together, about a day per open-text question, then tagging 750 comments in Excel because the result was better. Qualtrics suggested he post it as a feature request. Others maintain the same topic list twice across two questions and watch the two drift apart.

What you get instead

Autonomy, in hours

Your team configures journeys, dashboards and surveys. No gatekeeper, no certified administrator, no third party consulting firm. And Scoty does not stop at answering questions about your data. Ask it to build the survey, the dashboard, the taxonomy, and it builds them. The specialist Qualtrics refers you to is a firm you pay by the hour. Ours is in the product.

One number, flat

One annual fee covering unlimited volume, users, surveys and dashboards. No response buckets. No overage rate above the base price. No feature that turns out to be extra at renewal. Typically 30 to 40 percent below what legacy vendors charge.

AI you can interrogate

Ask in plain language, get the answer with its working attached: the query, the row counts, how fresh the data was. Then a cause with a figure in euros, an owner and a date. Qualtrics key drivers return a correlation coefficient. An r-value has never won an argument with a CFO.

Two things Qualtrics cannot fix

Your data is reachable

Qualtrics is US-headquartered, so a US court can compel it under the CLOUD Act wherever the servers physically stand. A European region changes the geography, not the jurisdiction. sandsiv+ is Swiss with no US parent. Run sandsiv+ in an EU or Swiss cloud, a private cloud, your own data centre, or on premise with the language model inside your walls.

The relationship

Account managers change roughly every six months, and each time you explain your business from scratch to somebody who does not know it. A customer of thirteen years wrote in August 2026 that they were leaving, called the product bloated and overpriced, and said that having missed the cancellation window by a week they were met with a threat of legal action.

Moving is risky. Staying is worse

Most enterprises are stuck in the migration paradox. The legacy platform holds you back, and the fear of a messy transition keeps you frozen. It is not really the data. It is an ecosystem of dependencies built to make leaving feel impossible.

So we rebuilt migration itself. Twenty-four specialised agents under expert supervision handle extraction, validation, schema mapping, survey recreation, dashboard construction, integration and QA. Intelligent coordination, not just automation.

The assessment comes first

Free, and it ends in a written scope. This is the part that takes real time.

Then one week

That is the port itself, included in the annual fee. Qualtrics keeps running alongside, so there is no gap in your feedback. Zero data loss, full survey replication, and an audit at the end confirming what arrived.

Predictable costs, zero consultancy bloat.

Then we train you out of needing us

A customer success manager as standard. 24/7/365 support. And progressive training aimed at your team running the platform without us, which is the opposite of the model you are leaving.

In the 2026 SoftwareReviews Voice of the Customer category, scored entirely on verified end-user reviews, sandsiv+ places first at 8.9. Qualtrics XM for Customer Experience places ninth at 7.6.
